Curriculum Vitae Tilmann Rödiger
Tilmann Rödiger works in the vast field of cinematic and documentary images. Trained as an artist in the field of media and image production, he has experience both in experimental and professional contexts. Via the course of numerous collaborative projects, he has been a Director of Photography in several countries as well as in crisis situations such as the 2014 Maidan uprising in Ukraine. He also developed advanced knowledge as an on-set audio recordist and did some editing and sound mixing. In his time at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design he had teaching assignments for technical introduction courses and was a teaching assistant to Prof. João Tabarra, organizing guest lectures, workshops, and exhibitions. He was granted PROMOS and DAAD scholarships, and together with media artist Lukas Rehm he won the national award “Federal Prize for Art Students” with their documentary work “Default”. After finishing his studies in Media Art with a Diploma he moved to Sofia, Bulgaria where his son was born. He continues to shoot for art and independent film projects, as well as to develop his own artistic projects.
